The UAS file is supported on 1 operating systems. Depending on your operating system, you may need different software to handle the UAS files. Below is a summary of the number of programs that support and open the UAS file on each system platform.
What is UAS file?
The file with the extension UAS is the Archive Files file type. It was designed by Ulead Systems. Archive Files consists of 619 similar files. Ulead PhotoImpact Backup is supported by 1 operating systems. The file will work on Windows systems, unfortunately not on others. The PhotoImpact X3 application is recommended to open the file. It was released by Ulead Systems.
How to open UAS file?
The most common problem when using Ulead PhotoImpact Backup is that a specific UAS is not associated with the program. This causes the file UAS to open by system applications not designed for this purpose, or to display a message that there is no associated program. This problem can be easily remedied.
The first thing you should do is just "doubleclick" on the UAS file icon you want to open. If the operating system has an appropriate application to support it and there is also an association between the file and the program, the file should be opened.
Step 1. Install PhotoImpact X3
In this case, you should first verify that the PhotoImpact X3 application is installed on the computer. This can be achieved by typing PhotoImpact X3 into the operating system search engine. In the absence of an appropriate program, its installation in the vast majority of cases will fix the problem. Below is a list of programs that support the file UAS.

Remember to download programs supporting UAS files only from verified and safe sources. We suggest using the websites of software developers.
Step 2. Create association of PhotoImpact X3 with UAS files
If, despite the installed application, the UAS file does not start in the PhotoImpact X3 application, you must create a file association. This option is available from the level of Properties of a specific file available in the context menu. The window will show, among other things, the type of the file and the information by which the program is used to launch the file. Using the "Change" button we can select the desired program. The program should be visible in the window, otherwise it should be selected manually using the "Browse" button and the program installation directory should be indicated. Checking the "Always use the selected program ..." box will permanently associate the UAS file with the PhotoImpact X3 program.
Step 3. Update PhotoImpact X3 to the latest version
If, however, after binding PhotoImpact X3 with Ulead PhotoImpact Backup there were still problems, you should update the program to the latest version. In this case, use the Ulead Systems website or update the program from the application.
Step 4. Check for the following problems with the UAS file
The problem may also be with the file itself if the above steps don't work. This could be due to the file itself, the cleanest issues are:
The UAS file may be unusually small compared to the original file. Usually this applies to UAS files downloaded from the Internet in case the download did not finish properly. The only repair option is to download the file again.
The most common cause here is computer viruses. Perform a virus scan using available and up-to-date anti-virus software. Alternatively, you can use the scanners available online. However, it is important to scan the entire system, not only the file UAS or the program directory. As a result of the scan, sometimes it is not possible to recover UAS files, which are deleted if there is a backup of this file, then after restoring it, it must also be scanned.
Older version of UAS file may not always be supported by the latest software version. These problems are known and are often very easy to fix using the software developers's website.
There can be many reasons for the failure. The repair method must be adapted to the type of file and damage. Sometimes the program itself has options to repair the most popular UAS file corruption. The easiest way is to restore the file from a backup, if there is one, or contact Ulead Systems
The program indicates that the file is encrypted or corrupted. The encrypted UAS files cannot be played on other computers than the one on which they were encrypted, they must be decrypted before using on another device.
The operating system protects files in some locations (e.g. the root of the system partition) against unauthorized access. These directories are write-protected to them and it's very hard to fix this problem. It is best to move UAS to a different directory.
This can happen on a file that does not support multiple access. Some file types can only be opened in one program at a time. Running programs (including those in the background) should be verified. Sometimes it is necessary to wait a while before referencing the UAS file again. Some anti-virus or backup software may occupy the UAS file for a certain period of time. If nothing helps, please reset the device.
