Step 2. Create association of Foundation Python with RPY files
If the application is or has been freshly installed, but the RPY file still does not use the Foundation Python program, it means no association. Using the "Change" button we can set the program to handle this type. It may happen that in the next window there will be no appropriate program - however, this can be corrected with the "Browse" option where you should manually indicate the program location. Checking the "Always use the selected program ..." box will permanently associate the RPY file with the Foundation Python program.

If, however, after binding Foundation Python with Python Script there were still problems, you should update the program to the latest version.

The problem may also be with the file itself if the above steps don't work. File problems can be divided into the following:
Very often, the file may be size 0 or incomplete. Usually this applies to RPY files downloaded from the Internet in case the download did not finish properly. Downloading the file again should fix the problem.
The most common cause here is computer viruses. A virus scan using an up-to-date antivirus program should fix the problem. If this is not possible, you can use the online scanner. The scan should cover the entire computer, not only the RPY file that we want to open. As a result of the scan, sometimes it is not possible to recover RPY files, which are deleted if there is a backup of this file, then after restoring it, it must also be scanned.
This can happen especially when the program is dynamically developed and the structure of the RPY files changes over time. On their websites, developers usually offer free solutions to such problems, e.g. in the form of a conversion program or an older version of the program.
There can be many reasons for this. The repair method must be adapted to the type of file and damage. Some programs offer the ability to automatically repair RPY file corruption.
The program can also signal the fact of encryption. The encrypted RPY files cannot be played on other computers than the one on which they were encrypted, they must be decrypted before using on another device.
