The RPE file is supported on 1 operating systems. Depending on your operating system, you may need different software to handle the RPE files. Below is a summary of the number of programs that support and open the RPE file on each system platform.
What is RPE file?
The RPE file has been categorized as Misc Files. The creator of this file is XStream Software. In addition to this file, the Misc Files category includes 6033 related files. Performance Analyzer appears on 1 operating systems as a functional file. The file will work on Windows systems, unfortunately not on others. It is recommended to use Performance Analyzer to handle this file. This is a program created by XStream Software.
How to open RPE file?
The main problem with Performance Analyzer is that the RPE file is incorrectly associated with programs. This is manifested by the fact that RPE files open in unusual applications or do not have an assigned program. This problem can be easily remedied.
The first thing you should do is just "doubleclick" on the RPE file icon you want to open. If the operating system has an appropriate application to support it and there is also an association between the file and the program, the file should be opened.
Step 1. Install Performance Analyzer
The first step is to check if the computer has the Performance Analyzer program installed. The easiest method is to use the system search engine by entering the program name Performance Analyzer in it. If it is not, installation may solve the problem, as most applications create file associations during installation. Below you will find a list of applications that support RPE files.
Programs to open RPE file
Remember to download programs supporting RPE files only from verified and safe sources. We suggest using the websites of software developers.
Step 2. Create association of Performance Analyzer with RPE files
If the application is or has been freshly installed, but the RPE file still does not use the Performance Analyzer program, it means no association. It is most convenient to call the context menu with the right mouse button and select Properties. The window will show, among other things, the type of the file and the information by which the program is used to launch the file. Changes can be made using the "Change" button. It may happen that in the next window there will be no appropriate program - however, this can be corrected with the "Browse" option where you should manually indicate the program location. However, it is important to check the "Always use the selected program ..." box, this will allow you to permanently associate the RPE file with the Performance Analyzer application.
Step 3. Update Performance Analyzer to the latest version
If, however, after binding Performance Analyzer with Performance Analyzer there were still problems, you should update the program to the latest version. This can be done using the application (if it provides such options) or from the XStream Software website and install the latest version.
Step 4. Check for the following problems with the RPE file
If the above steps do not help, you can assume that the file itself is not correct. This could be due to the file itself, the cleanest issues are:
The affected file may be 0 KB or smaller than expected. Usually this applies to RPE files downloaded from the Internet in case the download did not finish properly. The file should be downloaded again, making sure that the process has finished correctly.
The operating system may be infected with a computer virus. Perform a virus scan using available and up-to-date anti-virus software. Some antivirus vendors also provide free online scanners. However, it is important to scan the entire system, not only the file RPE or the program directory. Sometimes virus-infected RPE files cannot be recovered, so make a backup in advance.
This can happen especially when the program is dynamically developed and the structure of the RPE files changes over time. On their websites, developers usually offer free solutions to such problems, e.g. in the form of a conversion program or an older version of the program.
The file may be corrupted in a number of ways. Repairing is very dependent on the file type. Some programs offer the ability to automatically repair RPE file corruption. The easiest way is to restore the file from a backup, if there is one, or contact XStream Software
When reading, a message appears that the file was encrypted or corrupted. The encrypted file RPE except for the special designation, works normally, but only on the device where it was encrypted, before transferring it to another machine, decryption is required.
The operating system protects files in some locations (e.g. the root of the system partition) against unauthorized access. While there is usually no problem reading such a file, it may not be possible to save it. If possible, you can try to move the RPE file to another location.
This problem only occurs with more complex files. You may find that another program you are using is preventing you from working with the file. Running programs (including those in the background) should be verified. Sometimes you have to wait for the session to the file RPE to close. Antivirus programs or a backup being made may lock the file for a while without the user's knowledge. If this does not work either, restart the device.
