What is OPF file?

An .OPF file is an electronic publication - an e-book. It is saved in OPF (OEB Package Format) based on XML formatting. OPF files are usually in the form of a ZIP archive. In this case, you should first verify that the Adobe Digital Editions application is installed on the computer. This can be achieved by typing Adobe Digital Editions into the operating system search engine. Step 2. Create association of Adobe Digital Editions with OPF files

If the application is or has been freshly installed, but the OPF file still does not use the Adobe Digital Editions program, it means no association. It is most convenient to call the context menu with the right mouse button and select Properties. The window will show, among other things, the type of the file and the information by which the program is used to launch the file. Using the "Change" button we can select the desired program. It may happen that in the next window there will be no appropriate program - however, this can be corrected with the "Browse" option where you should manually indicate the program location. If, however, after binding Adobe Digital Editions with Open Packaging Format there were still problems, you should update the program to the latest version. In this case, use the Adobe Systems Incorporated website or update the program from the application.

If this is not possible, you can use the online scanner. However, it is important to scan the entire system, not only the file OPF or the program directory. Sometimes virus-infected OPF files cannot be recovered, so make a backup in advance.
