The first thing you should do is just "doubleclick" on the DP1 file icon you want to open. If the operating system has an appropriate application to support it and there is also an association between the file and the program, the file should be opened.

An often overlooked issue is to make sure that DataPower is installed on the computer. To do this, enter the name DataPower into the system search engine. If we do not have this program, it is worth installing it, as it will help you automatically associate the file DP1 with DataPower. Step 2. Create association of DataPower with DP1 files
If the application is or has been freshly installed, but the DP1 file still does not use the DataPower program, it means no association. Step 4. Check for the following problems with the DP1 file
Of course, it may happen that despite the above steps, the file still does not work. File problems can be divided into the following:
The DP1 file may be unusually small compared to the original file. This is most often caused by a problem while downloading the DP1 file. Downloading the file again should fix the problem.
The computer may have fallen victim to a computer virus or hacker. A quick virus scan using an up-to-date antivirus program should clear up any doubts. Alternatively, you can use the scanners available online. The scan should cover the entire computer, not only the DP1 file that we want to open. Sometimes virus-infected DP1 files cannot be recovered, so make a backup in advance.
Older version of DP1 file may not always be supported by the latest software version. On their websites, developers usually offer free solutions to such problems, e.g. in the form of a conversion program or an older version of the program.
There can be many reasons for this. Repairing is very dependent on the file type. Some programs offer the option of recovering data from damaged DP1 files.
The program can also signal the fact of encryption. The encrypted file DP1 except for the special designation, works normally, but only on the device where it was encrypted, before transferring it to another machine, decryption is required.
